About Me

Born and raised in Aotearoa I moved to Melbourne in 2000, and so I think of myself as someone fortunate to be: Made of Aotearoa – Forged in Melbourne!

In a sense my journey is one of memberships.  Firstly, to a large globe whanau [family]; born into and created.  Then to over 25 years' as People and Culture [HR] practitioner holding various roles, with organisations large and small; some for-profit, others for-purpose.  Across energy and resources, the community services spectrum, and higher education.  And to peak bodies: the Australian Human Resources Institute [AHRI], and the International Coaching Federation [ICF].

Formal qualifications have come along the way – a Graduate Certificate of Applied Coaching, a Level 2 Coaching Education Certificate, and a Diploma of Management.  I hold the ICF’s Associate Certified Coach [ACC] credential.

Each of these piece’s blend with decades of personal and professional growth and experience – starting small, then moving into more complexity and depth.

My growth has been largely self-led – connecting me to my values.  Reflective practice shapes me and is a crucial part of my life – connecting me to the grace of my inner-wisdom.  Growth enables me to be brave and calm.  To hold space when it’s uncomfortable.  To work through complex decisions and tough conversations.  Growth continues to teach me true compassion of self and others.

Each piece of my background led me to become a trusted thought-partner – coach, mentor, advisor – experienced and qualified.  I partner with people and organisations to strengthen them from within.

Why I Love What I Do

As you’ve seen, I say of myself that I am a ‘trusted thought-partner’.  For me this, sits at the heart of why I love what I do.  I love that I partner with people and organisations to strengthen them from within.

It’s a privilege to support the space where clarity is sought, then gained.  Where something is developed, explored, created, or enhanced.  I love seeing and being part of tangible outcomes which often come from deep thinking, challenge, struggle, courage, and hard work.

My advisory work often has more structure.  Improvements are with people and the internal or external systems in which they inhabit.

In my coaching and mentoring work, people freely explore who they are and what they need in any given moment.  Often, there’s a magic that happens, a moment when...  It can show in many ways: ~ rethinking ~ tense bodies ease, shoulders drop ~ relief at letting go ~ a pause and the creation of space ~ confidence and knowing are gained ~ heart and head balance ~ a deeper connection to self and others ~ being more intentional.

I love what I do because partnering with people and organisations to strengthen them from within is why I do what I do.  💚

Trusted Collaborators

I’m delighted to introduce you to my trusted collaborators; people of the highest integrity and skills.  These are my go-to people – each an expert in their field – each one highly recommended.
